Charming and witty comic banter

Want to know what's new and what's good this week? This podcast has you covered. Not only is Escapist a gem of a comic shop, but the employees are kind enough to further indulge us with great discussion on all things comics. Plus there are insightful interviews with comic creators sometimes. Highly recommended!!

Funny, current, smart comics reviews.

If you enjoy comics talk sprinkled with humor and the sensibilities you would imagine from some clever and cool Berkeley types, this is a fun, free-flowing weekly jaunt through latest releases. Connected to an LCS I really like too, Escapist Comics in Berkeley. Very listenable and smart (but never obnoxious) about weekly releases. Sometimes glimpses into a retailer's perspective too. So many comics podcasts out there but this one vibes Pacific Northwest/ Nor Cal best.

Entertaining

I found this podcast because of Ivan promoting it on his bores gore and swords podcast. So as a loyal bannerman, I listened, against my better judgment, as I could tell that I had different taste in comics and entertainment then Ivan for the most part. After listening, while I disagree with Ivan and the other hosts opinions about some comics, (some moments I was like "are you f%#king serious!?") I couldn't let my own opinions get in the way, which is we I'm able to recommend this podcast (especially to people that read marvel on a regular basis) I enjoyed the witty comments and constant digression. It would be five stars if I felt I took away more info other then some writers and illustrators names that I might not have known before, or it would have been 3 stars had my opinions overruled my better judgement lol. Good job all around though.
