U.S. Army 15th Engineer Battalion and its Polish Allies break ground at the opening ceremony for the U.S. Army Europe-led Resolute Castle 20 at Karliki, Poland, August 13, 2020. The mission is a U.S. Army Europe engineering exercise occurring from August 10 – September 8, 2020; it provides engineering training opportunities with the mission of completing construction projects intended to improve existing host nation infrastructure, which includes the construction of an intermediate staging base, forward arming and refueling point maintenance, the clearing of a helicopter landing zone, and the improvement of a railhead byway and range road at Camp Trezbien, Poland. Additionally, the improvements will include the construction of a general purpose warehouse in Karliki, Poland, and the construction of a fuel system supply point at Drawsko Pomorskie Training Area, Poland. Aircraft participating in the Weapon School Integration Exercise take off from Nellis Air Force Base. The goal of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School is to train students to be tactical experts in their combat specialty while also learning the art of battlespace dominance. The Weapons School provides academic and advisory support to numerous units, enhancing air combat training for Airmen from the Air Force, Department of Defense and U.S. allied services each year.

Royal Australian Air Force Wing Commander Adrian “Kenny” Kiely, No.3 Squadron prepares for a sortie inside a F-35A Lightning II during Red Flag 24-1 at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, January 23, 2024 This was the first Red Flag the RAAF flew their F-35A Lightning II’s to enable integration and tactical training. The 414th Combat Training Squadron conducts Red Flag exercises to provide aircrews the experience of multiple, intensive air combat sorties in the safety of a training environment. This iteration of Red Flag provides unique training with an emphasis on readiness for high-end warfighting and strategic competition.
