Ramon Day is a fifth generation Floridian, born in Madison County. Raised in Jacksonville, he graduated from Duval County Public Schools. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Jacksonville University with a major in history and a minor in English. He received a Master of Business Administration from The University of Florida with a concentration in finance. Ramon has a unique career background with dual expertise in the private sector and government policy. While his private sector experience includes banking, finance, and real estate, his public sector experience includes service as Chief of Staff to the late Congressman Charles E. Bennett. Rahman is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, Kappa Alpha PsiFraternity, Inc., SAG/AFTRA, The Urban League, the National Association of BlackJournalists, the American Association of University Professors, and The UnitedNations Association of the United States. Charles Garrison is a veteran and lifelong First Coast resident. Charles is currently the chair of the Water Committee on Jacksonville’s Environmental Protection Board, which he join after serving as the previous Secretary on Jacksonville’s Housing & Community Development Commission. He also serves on the board of directors for Changing Homelessness, a local non-profit whose vision is to end homelessness.
