Why do the Mets always play the weirdest series in San Francisco? Just bizarre games, thankfully we saved the week with a big win Wednesday but we talked about how cool/weird it is to see Wilmer Flores and Michael Conforto, Luis Severino still looking good, Reed Garrett saved my life, and encouraging signs from Jeff McNeil and Francisco Lindor. Get the brooms out baby. Mets complete their first sweep in over a year and we're super pumped. Trying not to get ahead of ourselves, but this team might be g**d. James is getting addicted to come from behind wins and is ridiculously hype about the Mets bullpen starting with Reed Garrett but also some huge adjustments from Adam Ottavino and Drew Smith. Marc talks about the vibes in the park and again guys, we are jacked up. Sean Manaea had his first rough start and James tries to figure out why he struggled from the Moroccans desert. Sunday was all about Doc Gooden until it was all about José Buttó. That’s our guy. Mets Shock the Braves, Brandon Nimmo is Himmo, Prospect Report | 279
What a series in Atlanta for the Mets. Honestly we are both shocked how well this turned out, had low expectations but the Mets shocked everyone including the Braves taking 2 out of 3 in the series. Brandon Nimmo went off, DJ Stewart owns the poverty Braves, Brett Baty continues to be great and the Mets pitching stepped up again in a big way. Mets fans should be pumped, great series back home against the Royals this weekend. Brett Baty Breakout, Questionable Managerial Decisions and Mets Beat the Reds | 278
Mets end up squeaking out a series win in Cincinnati against the Reds despite some questionable managerial decisions by Carlos Mendoza. Brett Baty is really starting to look like a great ballplayer, Francisco Lindor might be heating up, and the Mets pitching continues to look really good. These games were ugly, they were stressful but thats what we can expect from the 2024 Mets. Great series win, onto Atlanta to face the Braves!

Been listening since the first episode during the 2020 off season, stuck through that disappointment of a season in 2021 and the lockout. Haven’t missed an episode and I always look forward to the next one. Super passionate fans who share the same energy and attitude towards the team, and I enjoy the non baseball talk as much as the regular Mets talk.
Make baseball fun again (spoiler: Marc and James do)
Only been listening for a short while but goddamn, this podcast is a breath of fresh air! So much baseball coverage these days is crochety, old baseball traditionalists who are as entertaining to listen to as it is watching paint dry. Listening to Mets’d Up is like you’re four coors lights deep at your favorite dive bar with your boys, talkin ball and getting unreasonably hyped about your team. I’ve never been so jazzed about spin rates and stuff+ as I have been listening to James and Marc talk Mets. It’s a balanced mix of discussion around overall team performance + individual player performance + prospect talk. Keep grinding, I’m sure the sponsorships will start flowing.
PS: need more collab content with Jolly Olive and the Shea Station squad. Loved that day at the ballpark vid from a while back.

Hey guys! Been listening since I was back in high school during the dark days of James McCann hitting cleanup and Johneshwy Fargas patrolling center field and have loved it the whole time. Now I’m about to graduate college and this pod has been something that I can always count on. The time spent affiliated with the Mets was fun and gave some cool insights but I’ve always enjoyed hearing your real takes on everything baseball without having to be overly optimistic. James’ thorough pitching analysis has made me a much better informed fan, and Marc is always a knowledgeable and passionate host. It creates a good combination and makes this always a fun and informative listen. I’m located out west in AZ so if you guys are ever in the area for spring training, I’ll show ya where to grab a good beer. Keep bringing us great content and LFGM!
