You Can't Live on Yesterday's Manna (+ Break Announcement)

In this episode of Mornings with Mel, Melissa Faisst announces she will be going on a break before her Summer Season of the Podcast begins AND she encourages us to seek for God DAILY.

Oftentimes we think we can live off yesterdays connection with God, but the Bible tells us that yesterdays "manna" is no good, we need fresh bread today. And since Jesus IS the Bread from Heaven, we need to encounter Him afresh daily.

So if you really want to be encouraged to seek Him each day, then this episode is for you!

"And I, Mel, will miss you while we are gone but am praying that you can take what you've gained from the podcast the past few months and SOAR! Let it be your springboard into a new season with you and God. I will let you know when we will reconvene! Thank you for being a part of Mornings with Mel!"

What Are You Putting Your Hope In?

What Are You Putting Your Hope In?

In this episode of Mornings with Mel, Melissa Faisst actually talks us through John 5 and the way that the TV series The Chosen portrayed it in this weeks episode.

Oftentimes we can think we are putting our hope in God, but it's a lot easier to put our hope in something we can see, something we can control. We put our hope in bank accounts, jobs, what we look like, our stuff, but at the end of the day, it's all empty promises. The only safe place for our hope, is God.

So if you have been disappointed before or are placing your hope in something other than Him, then this episode is for you!

    In the Still, Small Voice...

    In the Still, Small Voice...

In this episode of Mornings with Mel, Melissa Faisst reminds us that sometimes when God speaks to us, it's in the still, small voice.

Oftentimes we want to hear God in the extravagant ways & that is all we are looking for. But often, God speaks simply, through His Word, by His Spirit. But in order for us to hear that voice, we have to quiet the other voices and listen for it.

So if you are wanting to hear from God, but are only look for it in the extravagant, then this episode is for you!

Life is But a Vapor, Don't Waste it!

Life is But a Vapor, Don't Waste it!

In this episode of Mornings with Mel, Melissa Faisst reminds us that our life is but a vapor, here today and gone tomorrow.

Oftentimes if we knew we didn't have much longer in our life to live, we would spend our life very differently. But we don't want to look back on our life and regret the way we lived it. We want to live our life doing what matters, and doing God's will.

So if you feel like maybe you have been wasting your life and need a reminder to help you back on track, then this episode is for you!

    Draw Near to God...

In this episode of Mornings with Mel, Melissa Faisst reminds us that if WE draw near to God, He WILL draw near to us.

Oftentimes we can feel distant in our relationship with God, but James tells us that the ball is actually in our court if we want to feel closer to Him. So whether it's our busyness, all the distractions, or something in our heart keeping us from Him, if we want more of God, we CAN have it.

So if you are feeling distant from God in need of some fresh encouragement, then this episode is for you!

Don't Despise the Days of Small Beginnings

Don't Despise the Days of Small Beginnings

In this episode of Mornings with Mel, Melissa Faisst reminds us that every great thing ever built, had to begin somewhere.

Oftentimes when we start something new it can be discouraging. And this happened to Israel in Zechariahs day, when they returned to Jerusalem after the Babylonian exile and were trying to rebuild the Temple. But God encouraged them, because He is the one that see the END, not where we are right now.

So if you are feeling discouraged in a new venture when its small and feel unimportant, then this episode is for you!

Makayla Beth Carter ,

Exactly what I needed.

Love this podcast! I find myself rushing out the door in the mornings without even praying to God or spending time in His word. Finding this podcast has helped me to make time for Him every morning. Most of the time it’s in the car on my morning drives. It’s now my favorite part of the day!

The Best Podcast

Out of all the podcasts I listen to, Mornings with Mel is one of my most favorites. Listening to her podcasts feels like talking to a mentor or an older sister - she seems to know exactly what to say and is able to communicate it with an abundance of grace and wisdom. Recently, I’ve listened to a few of her podcast episodes during a really emotional and trying time in my life and she’s really helped me to see things from God’s perspective and to not lose hope in the face of really disappointing circumstances. Whether I’m in search of specific godly advice or if I just want to listen to another Christian sister speak about what’s on her mind, I know I can always turn to Mornings with Mel.
