Great episode
Love the discussion. Reminded me when I saw this day it came out. Parent thought is was Swamp Thing and thought I would enjoy it. Found out it wasn’t and still sat through it. One of my favorite movies.
I wanted so badly to love it…
I am a great lover of props. I teach Technical Theatre and my students and I love to study and make them, love to watch videos or read about famous props from plays or movies. This podcast…is not about props. It’s just two middle aged dudes talking about movies they like and then mentioning props and costumes that appear in said movies. They talk more about the actors and random personal connections than about props. Like…they say a half hour into the “Back to the Future” episode that they’re out of stuff to talk about. They just…ran out of props to talk about in a movie (franchise) known for its great and iconic props. Talk about how they modified the DeLorean, the use of the disappearing photo as a time bomb, the weird box of “plutonium”, the Doc’s breakfast-making machine, the vintage soda cans, the election posters, the car that becomes a truck in the sequel, ANYTHING. Literally anything.
