    Donnie Darko (2001)

    Donnie Darko (2001)

If you don’t listen to this new episode, we are seriously going to doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion. Donnie Darko is one of the most-cherished and analyzed films of all-time. We give you a deeper understanding of what exactly is happening in this movie, as well as a spirited discussion on whether feces are baby mice, if keg beer is for pussies and whether or not, smurfs are asexual. The start of May of Swayz: Uncaged month. Enjoy!

    Days of Thunder (1990)

    Days of Thunder (1990)

On today’s episode, we discuss a movie that taught us all that rubbin’ is racin’. A movie that was essentially Top Gun but with race cars.  A movie with peak middle-tooth Tom Cruise. The best movie ever made about Nascar. We are of course talking about 1990’s Days of Thunder.

    Bio-Dome (1996)

    Bio-Dome (1996)

Bio-Dome holds a special place in many of our hearts because of the joy and laughter that it brought us when we were younger, but the critics and general public really seem to think that this is a BAD movie. Why was it so enticing to us as kids? What does ‘If you were Yogurt, would you be fruit at the bottom or stirred mean? Could they have hired a better sidekick than Stephan Baldwin? Was Pauly Shore just phoning it in on set? We dive into all of this and so much more, enjoy!

BRUNCH: The History and Legacy of Nickelodeon

BRUNCH: The History and Legacy of Nickelodeon

Nickelodeon was an important part of all of our childhoods. A reliable ‘friend’ that was always there for us. The impact that this tv studio had on our lives with the incredible lineup of shows and cartoons can not be denied.  Unfortunately, much of it’s legacy has been tarnished by the recent documentary called, “Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.” In an effort to go back to the mini-byte days, we start this brunch off with the history of Nickelodeon, followed by some discussion of all of our favorite shows. Then we dive into the disturbing documentary.

A Real Treat

Recently discovered your podcast and as a 90’s kid I’m loving it! The brunch episodes are especially fun. Couple ideas for that. Maybe you could do your top animated or Disney characters. Thanks for all the entertainment 💛

The Best Movie Review Podcast

I just recently discovered this podcast a couple months ago. I’m about 30 episodes in so far and just having a blast listening to all the childhood classics. It’s funny and entertaining. It’s fun to hear all the deep drive fun facts that you never knew. But mostly, it completely destroys how you thought movies were when you were growing up (in a funny way).

Only complaint so far going through the catalog: You guys harsh on the PC and woke culture from movies made 20-30 years ago. Come on. Ha. We already know things are dated. No need to defend yourself for what you watched from an Adam Sandler movie back in the day.

But overall, thank you for making this Podcast. I’m hooked on listen to your movie reviews and breakdowns. I’ve been telling a bunch of friends to try this Podcast out.
