You Guys are Golden
Okayyyyyy… I don’t typically listen to podcasts. Even when I was on a podcast, I didn’t even listen to most of our episodes. I don’t remember how I stumbled upon this particular one; but, I’m hooked. These 3 intellectual men with common sense that say things worth listening to have had me in a strong choke hold for the past week… at the gym, on my way to school, and in my downtime. Eddie’s contagious laughter, Alvin’s matter-of-fact responses, and Josh’s deep voice and comic relief are a great recipe for podcast excellence.
Great change of perspective.
Coming from a female listener with an open mind I love this podcast.
My toxic trait (which came from growing up in a household with my single father) is believing that I am almost always right in many disagreements I have with men (and women.. people in general I guess). Whether they’re a friend or partner it’s just something that I couldn't get over. That changed when I came across one of the podcast segments on TikTok about yelling being abuse. I started seeing things from the male perspective and just from a different perspective in general. Listening to these podcasts I’m taking mental notes and I am trying to become a better woman.
I have one suggestion; I noticed that in one of the episodes you guys were comparing how women may think of a situation vs how men think of a situation (I don’t quite remember what it was about) but you all did mention that you can’t speak for women because you all are men. How about when you are getting ready to discuss a topic that must present both genders argument/side you bring on a female to discuss?
It’s something to think about, I’m sure you all have already. But it would be great I think!
