    Meet Stanley

    Meet Stanley

Stanley began our program in November after completing Charlotte Rescue Mission's 120-day drug and alcohol program Rebound for men. He battled addiction for years before finally seeking treatment. "Eventually, I really got sick and tired of being sick and tired and I came here," Stanley says. "And now I'm glad I did."

After going home for the holidays, Stanley's friends and family were amazed to see the transformation in not only his physical appearance but overall wellbeing. "They were proud of me. They told me to keep up the good work." 💙

Community Matters Cafe restores hope

The Community Matters Cafe is a special place. The cafe offers you an excellent quality breakfast or lunch as you support their mission to help those in the community who struggle with addiction. The cafe is an extension of the important work of the Charlotte Rescue Mission next door.
The space is super cool as it pays homage to its beginnings as a spindle factory. The walls boast artwork from the students themselves who learn the various skills needed to secure employment at the end of their training.
You should check out this little gem. I only had coffee but the menu is creative and the dining room is well appointed and artsy. You can check out the menu and make reservations at communitymatterscafe.com.
Hope to see you there!
