Great for Language Teachers and Learners
I am Joel Zarate from the Second Language Acquisition Workshop Podcast, and I would love to recommend this podcast. The show is funny, clever, entertaining and informative. Professor Bill VanPatten is, in my opinion, one of the top experts in SLA alongside professor Diane Larsen-Freeman, Stephen Krashen, Rod Ellis, Claire Kramsch, Lourdes Ortega, just to mention some. The format is casual and entertaining, but it is profound on their analysis of the topics in the field of SLA. Professor Bill VanPatten is a strong voice in the field, and it is worth every minute to listen to his vast knowledge and profound understanding of how to bring theory to practice.
I simply and honestly think that this is one of the best podcasts out there to learn more about how we learn languages based on the research in the field of SLA.
I ❤️ Walter!
This is a great podcast that has given me some amazing food for thought. I have been rethinking my teaching strategies because of it.
The BEST!!
I am listening to Episode 10 on words to ban. Word #2 is “Error”. I had to pause it because I am laughing so hard I’m crying!! 😂😂😂 I loved when you said our learners are committing “imprudent deviancies”!! Makes the whole word sound so ludicrous!!!
