This is the good stuff
Rarely does a podcast get so much right right out of the gate.
Far from being a simple outlet to promote the Music Box’s programming, this pod offers insights into all sorts of other niche topics including indie film distribution, local history, film history, movie criticism, theater operations, and even the occasional ghost story.
Ryan is a very easy-to-listen-to host who conducts insightful conversations with his guests that range from theater staff and local critics to film distribution professionals and the occasional celebrity.
While it’s a relatively new podcast, it’s already become one of my favorite weekly/bi-weekly listens. Even if you’re not a Chicagoland resident or a regular Music Box patron, this thing is still worth checking out, hope they keep going with it!

The best podcast from the best movie theatre in Chicago. If only they’d listen to my entreaties and do a 3-D festival!! Regardless, great technical info from a living rep/arthouse theatre that only deepens my appreciation of their efforts.
Really dig it
It is just like being at the Music Box, but in podcast form.
