Impressive Support for Writers

Incredible opportunity for listeners and writers to participate in a deeper conversation about the craft, and the inspiration behind the work. It would be interesting to see how many of the screewriters have been able to make connections through this amazing resource. At the least, to talk about your work, to share it, and to hear about current--now--writers, is insightful and helpful in feeling part of the larger working world of screenwriters. AND THEY READ YOUR WORK. SO COOL! Great vision and foresight by the hosts.

So wonderfully different!

As a screenwriter I found myself listening to podcasts about the business... how to break in, how to be successful, how to do it for a living, etc. But Script Shop doesn’t do that. Allyson and Jack love screenplays and the writers who create them, and it really shows. This is a unique podcast that exposes themes, does the deep dive into inspiration and even brings back a little nostalgia in the form of a radio play as scenes are performed by the hosts and guests. It’s a great show and I’m glad they’re doing it!

All in the same Lifeboat

One aspect I really appreciate is the sense that we, as writer's, are all in the same Life Boat with our creative sparks... our self doubt... our crazy passionate drive to sit down and write where we end up not writing... in favor of just thinking... some days walking away only having maybe at best rewritten a sentence, let alone an entire scene. Thanks Allyson and Jack! Hail Scrim Shaw!
