Evening Edition: Record Number Of Hurricanes Predicted For This Year

Evening Edition: Record Number Of Hurricanes Predicted For This Year

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is predicting an 'above-normal' hurricane season saying there could be as many as 25 named storms, the most they have ever predicted. NOAA attributes the prediction to a number of factors including warmer than normal ocean temperatures in the Atlantic Ocean and La Nina conditions in the Pacific. The expected heavier than normal hurricane season comes at a time when the director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is warning the agency could be facing a budget shortfall this year.

FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with Mike Brennan, National Hurricane Center Director, Erik Hooks, Deputy Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Florida Congressman Jared Moskowitz about this upcoming hurricane season, the advancements in safety warnings and the need for more funding for disaster relief.

Business Rundown: Kevin O’Leary on Nvidia Hype & Taxing The Rich

Nvidia has been driving an AI stock frenzy, as investors watching Nvidia soar are throwing their money towards the company to satisfy their “investing FOMO.” Meanwhile, the world of business saw some major consolidation in the energy sector, and progressive lawmakers relaunched efforts for a tax on the ultra-wealthy.
Fox Business’ The Big Money Show co-anchor Brian Brenberg sits down with Chairman of O’Leary Ventures and investor on ABC’s Shark Tank, Kevin O'Leary, to discuss it all.
Kevin explains why some people are looking at artificial intelligence all wrong, what the consolidation in the energy market means for the future of oil, and the unintended consequences of trying to slap massive taxes on the rich.

"Completely Uncharted Territory": Former President Trump Found Guilty On All Counts

"Completely Uncharted Territory": Former President Trump Found Guilty On All Counts

Former President Donald Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts in his New York hush money trial, making him the first ever former president of the United States to be convicted of a crime. With each count carrying a maximum sentence of 4 years, former President Trump faces a maximum sentence of 136 years. Former prosecutor and former Trump lawyer, James Trusty, joins the Rundown to explain the flashpoints of the case likely to resurface during the appeal. He walks through why he believes the judge “put his finger on the scale” with his jury instructions, the politicization of the case, and the challenges facing the former President’s appeal. Later, they discuss the other Trump legal cases and the political ramifications for the 2024 presidential election.
An increasing number of American allies are calling for restrictions on how Ukraine uses its weapons to fight against Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has requested that assets supplied by the United States be used to strike Russian military targets inside its borders. However, the Biden administration prohibits this out of fear that it could inadvertently widen the conflict. FOX News foreign correspondent Alex Hogan joins to discuss why the U.S. is not likely to lift the restrictions and where Western allies' support for Ukraine stands now.
Don't miss the good news with Tonya J. Powers.
Plus, commentary by Jimmy Failla, host of “Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla.”

Israel, the Biden Administration, and the Red Lines in Rafah

Israel, the Biden Administration, and the Red Lines in Rafah

Israel is facing further scrutiny after an airstrike in Rafah resulted in the deaths of over forty civilians. The IDF has disputed that the deaths were caused directly by the strike, suggesting nearby stored munitions are to blame. Countries across the globe have condemned the military operation, with three EU countries voting to recognize an independent Palestinian state. FOX News Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst joins the Rundown to discuss the United States' response to the strike in Rafah, the recent structural failure of the $320 million humanitarian aid pier built off the Gazan coast, and where he sees the conflict going over the coming months.
A recent study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that almost one in nine children is diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (commonly referred to as ADHD). Some experts believe constant access to smartphones is a major part of the problem. Shockingly, nearly one-third of these children have not received any treatment, and the shortage of Adderall, a drug used to treat ADHD, is exacerbating the situation. Psychotherapist Thomas Kersting is the author of "Raising Healthy Teenagers," and he joins the podcast to discuss why more teenagers today struggle to stay focused and how smartphones are worsening youth attention issues.
Plus, commentary by former Trump economic adviser and economist at the Heritage Foundation, Steve Moore.

Great Podcast

Love your podcast and I really enjoy the brevity of getting the news in short and concise matters. One suggestion I might offer, however—-it may not be a good idea to only have a Spanish-speaking only advertisement right after a story on immigration problems. Just saying! otherwise great job!!

I don’t believe Nellie Bowles

After listening to her on this podcast I searched for her online and found an episode with her on Morning Joe. She is either confused or duplicitous or simply promoting her book to all audiences. On MJ she fit in perfectly with hypocrites who see the faults
of others and blind to their own. Latte liberals indeed.

Great in depth reporting, know what’s going on!

My only issue is with the extra, it might be longer, but feels like the same thing. Maybe just leave the whole thing for the weekend or don’t make it too long. Keep up the good work paying no mind to negative listeners who are no longer listening.
