I wish we had discovered this podcast sooner. It could have saved our marriage from so much damage and pain. Better late than never, and grateful to have hope for recovery, healing, and restoration of our marriage. Update… coming up on two years of doing this work together with my husband. We are both different people and better as well. We have a new marriage 🤍 So glad we found this resource when we did.

I have been blessed to have watched the Conquer Series back in college with a small group leader. That same leader walked with me and other men with Pure Desire’s “7 Pillars of Freedom” curriculum. This helped me find tremendous freedom from my pornography addiction before getting married, as well as address the root problems that fueled my addiction. I enjoyed Episode 396 with Dr. Jake Porter. I’m finding out more recently about my own struggles of secure attachment and the need for repair after rupture. I’m grateful to have this episode so that, LORD willing, when my wife and I have kids, we can model the Gospel of reconciliation, forgiveness, and humility. Thank you also for providing the Parent Training Curriculum; looking forward to using that!

My sex offender ex husband uses this group and podcast to fake recovery while he continues to exploit vulnerable women and possibly even children. “Addiction” model groups like this encourage cycles of abuse and sexual coercion. Try Betrayal Trauma Recovery instead. They use an abuse model that makes way more sense. Because it is abuse. If you’re married to a sex addict…leave. Immediately. They don’t get “better” they just learn how to lie better.
