As an immigrant to the US I love hearing stories of the experience of new arrivals to the US. And this is super relevant because San Diego is also where I settled. These stories are touching and relatable. I can’t get enough!

If you're a fan of 'Story Corps', you'll probably like 'My First Day'. I have listened to a handful of these episodes and even though I'm not from the same place as any of the people in the episodes so far, I also had a 'First Day' in San Dieg and can completely relate. Today I was listening to one and started crying, it hit such a nerve. Their stories are emotional, interesting, sad, joyous, engaging, human. Thanks, KPBS.
