    Fits for the Future

    Fits for the Future

Even though it was mostly expected, fans are disappointed to see the Red Sox lose their series in Baltimore to the powerful Orioles. Gordo, Sammy, and Pat start looking into the future about how guys like Jarren Duran will work and how players like Masataka Yoshida could be squeezed out. The guys then talk potential trade packages that could salvage the short-term future and preview the battle of the mid-level squads at Fenway with the Detroit Tigers.

PT Shorts - Closing Time for the Closer?

PT Shorts - Closing Time for the Closer?

Bob Nightengale of USA Today reported on Sunday that Kenley Jansen will most likely be traded by the Red Sox by the trade deadline. Gordo, Sammy, and Pat debate if this is a good move for Craig Breslow to make and how sooner or later should Boston wait to accept an offer. The guys also wonder if there are any other closers in the MLB like Jordan Romano that could make it hard for the current Sox closer to be dealt.

Jonathan Papelbon Has Some Things To Say Before His Big Day | 'Baseball Isn't Boring'

Jonathan Papelbon Has Some Things To Say Before His Big Day | 'Baseball Isn't Boring'

From 'Baseball Isn't Boring' (subscribe here): Jonathan Papelbon is heading into the Red Sox Hall of Fame next week, which on its own would be a great reason to have the friend of Baseball Isn't Boring on the podcast once again. But there is so much more. Rob Bradford teams up with Pap once again, this time to reflect on his path to Red Sox immortality, along with some pointed commentary on how relievers are being used. The former closer has taken issue with some things that are being done and said when it comes to today's bullpens and how they are being managed. As always, Papelbon is a must-listen.

Down slope

As a die hard Red Sox fan who listens to almost all Red Sox content this show took a huge dip when Bradfo left. No tempo, no real baseball insight, and mostly recycled media takes with no backing. Pretty annoying listen. Used to love it, needs to change
