Em Whitworth / Oklahoma! - Broadway Cast Recording (2019)
Em is an actor in New York and DC who brings us this most classic of musicals as revived St. Ann’s Warehouse revival that ****s. There is really no other way to put it. That’s how we all remember it. I bleep it every time but that’s what we’re saying. It’s the Oklahoma! that ****s.
Topics include: the buttery/flaky crust of nostalgia, Rebecca Naomi Jones doing no wrong, Mary Testa opening numbers, a moment of meta-textualism that brings things to a crashing halt, disappointing revivals, reclaiming Jud, and can one out-sexy Julie Andrews & Robert Goulet?

I usually get very excited about this show. Not today. If the host does not like the broadway show i think he should at least do a bit research before talking about it. It was obvious he did not do research or know the show but he certainly had his biases. The guest also didn’t seem to know the show thoroughly but had memories . I gotta say I usually enjoy the show, especially when the conversations deal with the actual show and not the many tangents.
