Come Back To What You Know

Come Back To What You Know

After the merest hint in Australia that maybe Max Verstappen and Red Bull wouldn't dominate the season, our hopes were dashed in Japan as we went back to the usual format. Perez is still doing an impression of being good, Sainz is still doing an impression of being better than Leclerc, and Logan Sargeant's impression of a million pieces of carbon fibre is apparently contagious. Ollie, Phill and Terry talk about all that, and there's an insight into Terry's film career, too. He was in Skyfall, you know.

"Shove Your Tradition Up Your Spoon" - Japanese GP Preview

"Shove Your Tradition Up Your Spoon" - Japanese GP Preview

It's RACE WEEK, as it is just about every week. This time Formula 1 goes to JAPAN, which is normally at the end of the season but now isn't because tradition is a nasty word that we don't need in F1 anymore. Ollie, Phill and Terry reflect on your questions in the wake of the Australian Grand Prix – Sainz, Russell, Alonso etc – and then look ahead to the Suzuka showdown in the GREAT FF1S BIG PREVIEW, as we're not calling it. It has FACTS GALORE, some of which might even be true.

Brake On Through (To The Other Side)

Brake On Through (To The Other Side)

After waking up at horrible o'clock for the Australian Grand Prix, it was a pleasant surprise to have an interesting race for once. Ollie, Phill and Terry look back at Carly Simon's dominant win in Melbourne and ask the important questions: does anyone remember Ollie Bearman? Is this the start of Red Bull's decline, and is it because of what happens when you play with yourself in the bath? Plus why Fernando Alonso steals burgers, probably.

Phill and Terry are joined by Drew Stearne, and preview the best that Melbourne has to offer, including facts about the Australian Grand Prix that you never knew, probably maybe. Plus, we answer your questions to the best of our limited abilities.

    The Bear Necessities

    The Bear Necessities

The Saudi Arabian GP came and went and Max Verstappen won again. But the real story was Ollie Bearman, who is surely the greatest Formula 1 driver in history now. Phill and Terry are joined by their own super sub, Drew Stearne, to look back at the Bearnaissance and ask - what does this mean for his career, for F1 and indeed for humanity? Also Red Bull’s implosion continues everywhere except the track, so that’s fun.

What makes a legendary F1 Driver? Tony Dodgins in The Whinging Moustache

What makes a legendary F1 Driver? Tony Dodgins in The Whinging Moustache

In a rare episode that features opinion actually worth hearing, Phill & Terry grill renowned F1 journalist Tony Dodgins on exactly what makes a legendary F1 driver – because he has a new book out covering exactly that. They also get the lowdown on some of the issues of the moment, including the Christian Horner and Red Bull debacle, how Hamilton and Leclerc will compare at Ferrari and just who should take Hamilton's seat at Mercedes.

Tony's book, Formula One: The Legends - Cult Drivers and Their Legacies, is out on March 14, published by Motorbooks.

witty, funny, my favorite f1 podcast

If you want a show on all the tech, strategy, rules/regulations, news etc etc, there’s lots of shows for that. FF1s balances out race review, drama, insights, comedy…I learn so much from those three plus their guests. So pls don’t complain if it’s not all tech talk, there are multiple podcasts for that.

They gone so far down the drain it’s just racism

These folks hide behind a wall of cynicism and sarcasm to express their ignorance and racism.

They have focused on a single driver these past 2 years without calling out all the other drivers.

What’s the difference between all the failing f1 drivers and this one? He is Mexican.

Their oblivious British ethnocentrism shines through as they continue to focus and berate a whole country’s national hero.

Of course that’s the most British thing in the world so they think it’s ok. Losing Chica was the worst thing to happen to this “podcast.” God forbid they focus on all the junk people like RUS, RUC, TSU, LEC, etc do on track.

2024 is just as bad. Had to unsubscribe as it’s just the same snide cynicism this year. They clearly need a woman to rein them in. Losers
