7 Worlds Collide - Live At the Powerstation
7 Worlds Collide is a music project founded in 2001 by Neil Finn that was originally made up of a collection of friends including Johnny Marr, Ed O’Brien, and Lisa Germano. The group reunited in December of 2008 when Neil invited them to his studio in Auckland, New Zealand to record an album for charity (The Sun Came Out, released in 2009). This time around new artists were added to the lineup, including Jeff Tweedy and members of Wilco, KT Tunstall, and Bic Runga. While recording the album, the group also played three concerts in early January, 2009 at The Powerstation in Auckland. This concert film compiles performances from those three shows, demonstrating both the wealth of songwriting and performance talent assembled on stage as well as the friendships and mutual respect that have been at the heart of the group since the beginning.
