Publisher Description
Rules are tossed aside when a pro football player joins forces with a spitfire cheerleading coach in New York Times bestselling author Lorelei James’s brand-new romance…
Heir to Lund Industries and ladies’ man Jensen “The Rocket” Lund has three conditions when it comes to dating:
1) No single mothers
2) No cheerleaders
3) No medical personnel
So it makes no sense that he’s wildly attracted to Rowan Michaels, who breaks all three.
Rowan didn’t pass the rigorous requirements to become an athletic trainer and Vikings cheerleader in the hopes of landing a pro athlete. Been there, done that, and she has a young son as proof that football players and fidelity don’t go hand in hand. When Rowan learns her new neighbor is Jensen Lund, the smoking-hot tight end who takes being neighborly to a whole new level, she’s grateful for the team’s strict no fraternization policy because the sexy man defines temptation.
But Jensen is intent on rushing straight to the goal line to prove to Rowan he’s much more than just a player…on and off the field.
Customer Reviews
See AllLJ writes with heart, compassion, and of course steamy sexy times!
I truly love Lorelei James writing. She has great character development and plot driven stories. I said it before and I'll say it again that I like her Rough Rider series the best! The I Need You series is great but I'm not "racing" through the books-maybe that's a good thing??!! I just don't know what it is...maybe it's me. In this series I feel like the last few chapters are rushed.
I love how she writes family dynamics with layered personality characters and witty dialogue. I like how she includes other family members so we can "check up" on them. I really hope that she writes Dallas's story!
Lovable series
This series of need is one of the best. There is loving and keeping to the normal life. This series are so wonderful, when you finished one you can't wait to get to the next one.
Another great LJ series
Another Lund man has stole my heart.
This is a great friends to lovers story.
What I loved about Jensen and Rowan is that they became friends first even though there was some clear attraction between them and then sparks just flew from there. During this time that they were growing their friendship they were getting to know each other without the pressure of dating and what dating entails. The way that they fell in love was more natural and beautiful. All of this happened even though Jensen had some clear rules on who he would absolutely not date and Rowan checked marked everyone of those boxes he still did not fight what was growing between them. This is just an example of rules being meant to be broken.
Aside from Jensen and Rowan, I love the whole Lund clan. They are the family that I would love to have and then dread at the same time. This series is a truly remarkable contemporary romance series.
