Too Much of the Occult
The storyline spent too much time on Emma’s adventures while developing her “other worldly” powers and on white water traversing and not enough time on the development of a growing relationship between the two main characters. It was hard to imagine Nathan falling for Emma given his age and his background with the occult, even under the isolating conditions.
The book is quite imaginative, however I found myself skimming through many portions of the book. After enjoying the first two books in this series, which were more “classic” romances, this one was disappointing and has made me hesitant to continue on with the series.
