The Fallen Angel
I normally don’t write reviews, I just leave star ratings, but I was compelled to do so because of a review that popped up when I was reading the plot for this book. The reader gave it one star and said the book lacked the excitement of the previous books in this series. I quite disagree. It had its exciting moments and expected cliffhangers, but there were also many Machiavellian moments where you seriously get into the head of many of the players, as well as learn a little history. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of five is that it was much shorter than most. Still, the pages pack quite a punch and deliver all you could ask of a Daniel Silva Gabriel Allon novel with the exception of length. I have read all the novels as they came out but this time I’ve starting at the beginning and am reading them all back to back.
Fantastic as usual
Just a great page turner! Beautiful descriptions and the places and people jump off the pages. Silva is the best he has ever been with this one.

Excellent continuation of the Gabriel Allon series. Daniel Silva continues to create stories that are impossible to put down. He brings his characters to life while educating his readers. His books are so tuned into our current political climate. I'm always sad to complete one of his books because now I'll have a long wait until the next one!
