Publisher Description

Sparks fly when a society belle and a biker with a troubled past get down and dirty in the Big Easy. Maisey Yates turns up the heat in the sizzling finale of a series co-written with Megan Crane, Rachael Johns, and Jackie Ashenden.

Micah Carpenter hates New Orleans. Hell, after ten years he no longer has much affection for the Deacons of Bourbon Street motorcycle club, either. But when the brotherhood calls, Micah answers. Joining the hunt for their mentor’s killer, he crosses paths with a Southern belle who exudes class—and sex appeal. Micah knows better than to mess with ice princesses: No matter how hot things get, they never melt. And yet he can’t stop himself from offering her a taste of the wrong side of the tracks.

Sarah Delacroix understands that reputation is everything. The daughter of a prominent family rocked by scandal, she’s desperate to restore their good name. Micah’s exactly the kind of man she should be avoiding. Behind his sleek and sophisticated exterior beats the heart of a predator—and she knows it. But, like the tattoos beneath his tailored suit, his rough edges are irresistible. And all too soon Sarah finds him getting under her skin . . . and living out every one of her hottest fantasies.

Nice ending to series

This is the final book in the Deacons of Bourbon Street and of all the books in this series I thought this was the best. When Micah (Prince) was banned from the Deacons, he tried hard to put his past behind him. He moved to California and turned himself in to a self-made real estate mogul. When Priest, the president of the Deacons was murdered, he was summoned back to New Orleans. Along with the other members, he wanted to find who murdered Priest so he could leave. He has no intention of staying in New Orleans. So the faster this is mystery is solved, the sooner he can go home. Somehow the Deacons became the owners of the Delacroix’s mansion. They are suspicious as to how Priest came about owning the mansion. Sara Delacroix is a rich, high society princess. She plans on having a Christmas party at the mansion. A mansion she thought was owned by her family. So Prince has been tasked to babysit Sarah to see if she can help solve the mystery of the ownership of the mansion. As they began to spend more time together, they began to act on their attraction. I liked Sarah. She was a good girl but wanted to be very bad. But she was also feisty, had a little bit smart mouth on her and stood up for herself. I enjoyed the banter back and forth between these two. The story line flowed easily. There was not a lot of drama tearing these two apart. There was also not a lot of inner turmoil which can sometimes detract from the story. I did not see the ending coming. Let’s say you finally get all your questions answered. This was a good ending to the series.

Must Read!!!

Strip You Bare
I was provided an early copy of this book by ' Loveswept and NetGalley' for an honest review.
This being the last "Deacons of Bourbon Street" is the best one yet. Micah "Prince" Carpenter has the duty of finding out what Sarah Delacroix knows about the murder of Priest.
What he didn't expect was the attraction to Sarah. Will his secrets destroy any chances for them to be happy.
Must read!!!!

Excellent

I have to start off by saying Maisey Yates never disappoints and she didn't, again. :)

The story begins with Sarah entering her family's mansion as she plans and prepares for Christmas party. The Delacroix family mansion has been neglected after Katrina and Sarah wants to repair/revitalize it and bring the mansion back to life with this forthcoming party. But when she walks in and finds a very large and dangerous looking man waiting for her with news that Delacroix doesn't belong to her family any more, she realizes life is about to change drastically for her. Micah precedes to inform her that the Deacon's MC now owns Delacroix. And the sparks begin to fly with some major sexual tension and verbal sparing between the two that was fun too read.

Sarah was a southern bell that was brought up in a wealthy family and taught to behave in a certain manner,so as to uphold the family name of course. She had just broken off an engagement after learning she had been cheated. That didn't sit well with her family, that she had broken off the engagement because of course her fiancé was from another prominent family. Poor Sarah has been struggling with who and what she's become and knows that something has to give.

Micah "Prince" was banished years ago by Priest (head of the MC) after an incident that changed several lives. Micah left and amassed a fortune for himself as well as becoming very prominent in the business world. He grew up dirt poor and always craved nice thing, hence his nick name "Prince" from his fellow MC friends. He's been called back by the MC because of the death of Priest and to help them find answers. And the answers are intertwined with Sarah, the Delacroix and the mansion.

Wow I really liked these two characters. Sarah came across like a steel magnolia. Sarah was beautiful, poised, proper, smart but dying inside because their is so much more to her and Sarah is on the cusp of breaking free. Micah, wow I loved how alpha he was and the way he talked to Sarah,oh boy!!! The sexual tension jumped off the pages and we had some very hot moments between these two. But what I really liked is that they really came to care for each other, even though they fought it, and developed a relationship that was tender, sweet at times and loving.

The mystery of Priest is finally solved and it was done well with almost all the lose ends tied up nicely. I'm not too much into MC novels but liked this one and how you became immersed into their thinking and their world. We get to see characters and couples from past books which was nice. And loved how the tone and atmosphere of New Orleans was portrayed and you were made to feel like you were "their". A very good read and definitely recommended.
