A Treat for Those who Love History, Drama, Romance and The Poetry of the Troubadours
Historic intrigue, cultural clashes, conspiracy and love - Song at Dawn provides the reader with all of these and more. The heroine is given a rags to riches opportunity through her musical talent, only to find there is much more to learn to survive. The 12th Century setting is in an area where Christians, Jews and Moslems cross paths and try to coexist. The power conflicts between the royalty and the Church are underscored by gender biases as well. The author brings the characters to life, providing the reader an insight into an era as well as an interest in the fates of the young troubadour and those who befriend her.
