I wish I could read it for the first time again!
I love this book! The plot flowed smoothly, and the character development was wonderful. The characters themselves have found a place in my heart. Except Eric, eff you. It had me crying, laughing, and kicking my feet. Did I mention that I love this book?
Heartbreaking and beautiful
I’ve been devouring this author’s work over the past few weeks. As I have said previously, I’m reading her work out of chronological order. With that being said- this story is one of her older novels. And it’s evident, as it’s not crisp as her newer stuff.
I enjoyed her taking on a serious subject of PTSD and DV. But considering the nature of the subject, some of the aspects of this story didn’t flow for me. It felt rushed- Lexi has experienced a major trauma and while the time lapse is there. It still seems she moved rather quickly with Sloan. And vice versa- these two ppl have been through hell. And I get love conquers all... but still they met in a week and then they are in love?!🤷🏾♀️
Either way I can’t wait to continue the series. I love this author’s writing. So even her 3 star stories are better than most.
