"The story of Katrina’s introduction into Lincoln’s world continues.
Katrina has begun to realize that she does indeed like this brand new world in which she is the slave and Lincoln is her master, but will she be able to become subordinate to all of Lincolns orders? Alisha, another slave of Lincolns, hands Katrina a note. It’s a note of instructions from Lincoln: she must take care of her health based on his expectations, she may not pleasure herself without his permission, and she absolutely will not modify her appearance unless he says so.

This is all beginning to sound a lot like Katrina’s life prior to moving to California. Almost like her father barking orders at her again.
