So captivating!
This is my first read of the year of wedding novellas and boy has it made me anticipate the other books! Its November so i chose the November title to read and I couldn’t drop it. Finished it this early morning 0257am! Of November 5 even though I actually planned it as my November novel read. That’s how captivating and engaging it was! More so, I felt the message God is trying to tell me through it too! It’s exactly what i needed to hear... God’s timing and knowing my identity in God is more important to feel worthy. Thank you Becky Wade... you really are an AMAZING writer! A must read indeed! 😊
Amazing author
When he graduated from high school, Josh was off to MIT. He left behind his first love, Holly. Holly has gone on to college but when Josh starts thinking of returning to Texas, his mother pays a visit to Holly and they decide the best thing for Josh would be for Holly to break up with him.
Eight years later, Josh has gone far. He's become very successful in his business. Now he's returning to Texas for his best friends wedding. What's he to do when he runs into Holly, the girl he's never been able to forget?
Holly has also become successful. She's made it to the New York best seller list, (okay, the bottom of the list, but on the list none the less!) She still lives in their small Texas town with a soft spot for helping people and faith that God will continue to guide her path. Has God opened a way for her to find closure with Josh? Or could He possibly have more planned for her? For them?
The story was amazing. Becky Wade did a wonderful job covering the back story, along with moving the story forward. As with all Becky's books I was sad to see it come to an end, but still left totally satisfied! Becky brought her usual talent of creating heart-racing romance between people we can all relate to, a hand full of fun characters, and even some humor. The gummi bear incident made me chuckle. Of course I might not have chuckled had it happened to me....
If you haven't read Becky's other books, I highly recommend them. Some of my favorites that I eagerly await each year.
