Publisher Description
Juliette is perfectly content with her quiet nights at home alone, especially when they include sappy romcoms and Mr. Yu's Green Dragon takeout.
But her sisters think she's teetering on the brink of spinsterhood. So they've come up with an intervention plan: weekly blind dates until their Jules finds her knight in shining armor… or until they run out of single guy friends.
They're calling it The Monday ManDates.
Survival skills kicking in, Juliette secretly names each new Monday man. There's TheraPaul, Frisky Frank, and TAZ the Rock Star, for starters. Then there's the Officer Manly Man, the policeman with a penchant for pulling Juliette over when she's at her very worst.
With a lineup like that, positively identifying her happily-ever-after seems like a long shot.
Then again, maybe, just maybe, she's looking for love in all the wrong places.

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
This first in the Gustafson Girls Series introduces four grown sisters whose lives were changed when they lost their parents to a drunk driver. Fifteen years later, as the story opens, Juliette is dragging through life, unwilling to move on months after breaking up with her longtime noncommittal boyfriend. Her sisters pressure her into a series of weekly blind dates, a ploy that begets humorous run-ins with local law enforcement, a Christian rock singer, and a nosy neighbor. When her faith and love life are reignited, Juliette suddenly goes from bland to colorful. How will these changes play out, especially within the sister quartet? While mostly light and humorous with a sweet romance story, the plot also touches on more serious topics such as forgiveness, family dynamics, and depression. A clear Christian message of salvation permeates the second half of the book, but genuinely funny and moving moments are scattered throughout. Doughty (Elderberry Croft Collection) has created likable, memorable characters that women will easily relate to, and fans should anticipate follow-up stories for the three remaining sisters. Juliette and the Monday ManDates
Excellent book! One of the best Christian novels that I have read! It was a good page turner!
Nice and funny
I liked the plot and the sisters dialogues were fun to read. The romance was funny too but very slow. The preaching was overdone but I usually skip it easily.
Too preachy
I really tried to like this book. I was rooting for Juliette and would have loved to stay with the series long enough to enjoy Phoebe's book, but I could not get on board with the religious overtones. Ladies who read this book, please do not stay with a deadbeat guy just because you prayed over it and god told you to forgive him.
