Sun, beach, and palm trees as a setting sounds idyllic to many people and yet It has been said life is lived and that old age is not for the weak. When Arthur Donamann and Timothy Thornton meet in the park for their weekly visit, and play checkers, we are given a glimpse into the world of Past, Present, and Future. Their lives might parallel our own in many ways as they struggle to recall how life really unfolded: testing their ability to remain relevant to each other, to the present, and to prepare a course for the future.
