Publisher Description

As a storm ravages the coastline, two babes are born many miles apart, but still sharing the same dark heritage. The first is a boy, whose father will claim him so that he might spread the seeds of their nocturnal skill to reach into the dreams of people to influence or to kill. The second is a girl, who would be considered an abomination to be eliminated by her forefathers, if they knew she existed. Brought up as foundlings by separate austere communities, they soon discover the extraordinary nature of their talents by design and by chance. But although there is great compassion in what they can do, there is also immense danger, for in dreams nothing is what it seems and there are hidden traps for the unwary. Inevitably, it will be dreams that will draw them together and dreams that will tear their world apart.

Readers’ Favourite Review:

"Author Nicole Trewartha takes the reader on a journey through the world of dreams in In Sleep They Come. Two babies born to different parents and in different places grow up to be remarkably similar. Born with a mark that separates them from other people, both Aiden and Rhiannon discover that they have the ability to walk in dreams. Aiden was raised as a foundling in a monastery with other Nocturna (dream walkers). His mentor, Kheevan, teaches him all he needs to know about how to do their god's work as Nocturna -- or at least that's what Aiden believes until the day he meets Rhiannon. Rhiannon is an abomination to Nocturna because she is female. Raised as a foundling in an abbey, Rhiannon's life is dedicated to her goddess. Aiden and Rhiannon share more than the ability to dream walk; they share a desire to follow their own dreams, something that many others wish to prevent.

In Sleep They Come had me riveted to the pages. Nicole Trewartha tells a fascinating tale of two young adults given a powerful gift but bound by the duty bestowed on them by others. The characters are well written and realistic, and I had a hard time deciding who was good and bad, which kept my eyes glued to the story, wanting to know what would happen next. In Sleep They Come is full of action, deceit, and romance in addition to fantasy... Overall, I felt this was a fantastic novel, and I would highly recommend it. I look forward to more from this author." Reviewed By Sarah Lowry for Readers' Favourite - 5 STARS!
