A pair of earlier novels tackled Russian meddling in Western politics; House of Spies introduces an Islamic State that sees its territory shrinking and doubles down on exporting terrorism. After a string of bombings take a horrifying toll in London’s West End, Mossad head Gabriel Allon ditches a desk job to hunt the architect of the attack. It’s an electrifying chase that, to Silva’s enormous credit, never comes at the expense of his stylish, graceful prose.

Outstanding book! I finished in just a few sittings, and enjoyed the suspense and the development of the wonderful characters from previous books in this series. The scenes are so vividly written I feel like I'm part of the action, but so glad I'm not. It makes me grateful for all the talented and brilliant spies willing to sacrifice for world peace.

Way to slow of a start. I have read all his books and I gave up on this after 170 pages. Not like the others.
