This book was a quick novella.
Sadie is a professor attempting to make tenure by interviewing a female erotica editor for her research. Jake has been hiding his identity as an erotica editor to protect his family.
This was a cute story. I liked the nods to the typical things you find in romance novels and the quotes weaved throughout the story. There were some inconsistencies in the story though and that took away from the story a bit.

I love these "What Happens in Vegas" books! They're fun, short stories that show how crazy us romance readers can get. Hot On His Heels was no exception.
Jake edits erotica romance novels under a penn name because he doesn't want to hurt his brothers political career. Sadie is a literature professor trying to finish her book to attain tenure by interviewing the elusive editor Jocelyn Dellarivier, aka Jake. While Sadie is frantically stalking Jocelyn via her tweets at the romance convention in Vegas, she keeps bumping into hunky Jake, posing as a PA. Every bump along the way, these two gets ensnared into each other more and more. If Jake has a chance at something more with Sadie, he's going to have to risk exposing his identity as the true editor.
This was a fun and quirky short story. I love Jakes character, Sadies as well. I do wish her insecurities wasn't constantly brought forward in the book but the ending definately made up for it.
