A cursed goddess and the college guy
A fast read with a few Viking gods and goddesses. Can a cursed goddess fight the love of her life to end the curse? This one story I’m not sure how to explain. There is some hotness, some romance and Viking lore. I enjoyed how different the story is and am ready to read more. If you like Viking mythology mixed with some present day , then you will enjoy this romance.

Short But Interesting Read
Hellish is a combination of Norse mythology, magic, romance with time travel and humor thrown in. The story line is interesting and I liked both Lady Hel and Harley. This is an easy read and am looking forward to the next in series.
Cold Fish
I really wanted to like this story but just couldn’t really make a connection with the pinball like storyline. We start in the past and we come to present day with Lady Hel. The blurb says she has no use for love then she is cursed and sent to earth to look for true love? What would be the point since she has no use for love?
I really wanted to empathize with her predicament; unfortunately she’s a cold fish. She does the guy stoic thing with limited conversation, threats and very little explanation as to her reasons. She is portrayed as sexy and captivates everyone’s attention. Except for her overtly sexy costume descriptions nothing about how she is portrayed really supports this.
The one saving grace in this story is Harley. His words and actions show a very caring, albeit non-directional man. He is solicitous, chivalrous and has a very protective side. Unfortunately while he’s attracted to Lady Hel part of me kept hoping he would run in the opposite direction as the ice queen had very little warmth for him.
Harley is told to get some fighting skills in a week as they are about to time travel to the past. We get to the past and with no rhyme or reason Hel is reunited with her true love. Then we flash back to present time with Harley in a predicament and then we flash to a way for him to prevent his predicament. I mean were some pages left out to explain how all of this is supposed to make sense and work?
What saved this for me was Harley just barely, plus there were some good descriptions of past battles. Otherwise for me this story was all over the place with wooden characters and very little to make you connect or really care for at least the female lead.
