Publisher Description
Are you ready to move from insecure to God secure? From regret riddled to better-because-of-it? From afraid to die to ready to fly? Today, find freedom in God’s grace.
We often talk about grace, but do we really understand it? Grace politely occupies a phrase in a hymn and fits nicely on a church sign. It never causes trouble or demands a response. When asked, “Do you believe in grace?” who could say no? Bestselling author and pastor Max Lucado helps us dive deeper into what it means to be changed by grace. God’s grace has a drenching about it. A wildness about it. A white-water, riptide, turn-you-upside-downness about it. Grace comes after you. It rewires you.
In this book, you will learn:
Grace is everything JesusYou belong to JesusJesus lives in youYou will increasingly grow more like JesusThere is nothing you can do to get grace—grace gets you
Grace is the voice that calls us to change and then gives us the power to pull it off. Have you been shaped, emboldened, and softened by grace? Let’s make certain grace gets you.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
"Grace woos and weds us." This divine gift is dispensed with the overflowing surge of a fire hydrant, writes bestselling author and pastor Lucado (Outlive Your Life) in the latest addition to his consider. The topic of grace, and grace versus works in particular, is nothing new, and readers are unlikely to experience any epiphanies. Still, Lucado's signature clause-filled, comfort-food style and his universal messaging are sure to warm the heart. Grace can be a somewhat intangible topic, and at times Lucado falls into abstraction (e.g., " comes at us... wave upon wave"). Yet readers who are struggling to keep up with high expectations will appreciate practical discussions of confession that redeems and acceptance that frees them from a need-to-please-people attitude. Fans will be pleased to see that Lucado is sticking to his formula, creating another inspirational piece that could be easily transformed into a gift book of quotes. Readers who prefer a deeper theological dive may want to hold out for a meatier investigation of the topic.

Grace
I love how Max Lucado writes in a down to earth relatable way to the reader. He is easy to understand and humble. This book helps you to understand just how much God loves us that he sent his only son to the cross for our sin debt. That is the epitome of love and grace for me, the sinner. I highly recommend this book if you truly want to understand God's grace.
