Barely adequate navigation - for a Bible

As an e-pub, as a digital rendering of the Bible, this is barely adequate. The ability to navigate to a specific passage is non-existent. To get to Hebrews ch 4 (much less Heb 4:14), you access the Table of Contents function, then scroll through all of the study features (numerous downward swipes/screens) to finally find the list of the books of Scripture, then scroll through the 57 books of the bible to finally get to Hebrews. Tap Hebrew, then tap the chapter 4 entry on the "Hebrews Tables of Contents." There is no top-level function to quickly get to a specific section or passage in Scripture. This greatly limit's the functionality of this e-pub. This is not a Bible that you will use to look up or check Bible references while doing any other form of reading or studying.
This is structured for sustained sequential reading of either the study articles or the actual text of Scripture (which is a good thing). The free ESV app is better suited to accessing a specific place within the Bible.

Navigation has alway been an issue. Especially when trying it on a page not on the main menu. No way to get to a specific word in the concordance. Way to much money for an inferior product.

    Disappointing

I recognize the challenge of working within the iBooks platform to provide access to footnotes, cross references, robust navigation, etc., but I don’t think this product succeeds at all, especially considering the price. Even basic options like displaying Jesus’s words in red simply don’t work as advertised. There appears to be no process in view for fixing bugs or improving the product over time. I feel a bit cheated by the publisher.
