Publisher Description

Valeriya Azarov turned her back on the family business to write and illustrate children’s books. But with a sister who leads the Knights of the Dragon, it’s impossible to get away from the secret society whose mission is to destroy and enslave dragons. When information falls into her hands along with the opportunity to save at least one of the ancient creatures, she can’t turn away any longer.

When a woman moves into the cabin above Tarrant Cooper’s secret underground lair, he’s both suspicious and intrigued. He hasn’t lasted four thousand years being careless, so when he suspects her of being a part of the Knights, the plan is to kidnap her and find out how much the organization knows about him and his brothers.

He’s drawn to Valeriya, but trusting her could get him killed. Even if she’s a pawn in the war between drakons and Knights, giving her his heart would mean forever.

Drakon’s Prey

Love this book. Love Tarrant and the way his portrayal stays true during the entire series. Love Valeriya, and that we finally have a heroine who feels ‘real’ (i.e. has a body more like mine 😊) and is not just another perfect-model-thin ‘barbie-type’.
Really wish for additional books to follow their journey through the continuation of the the war with the Knights (yes, i DID read book 7!), (but - we can learn more of the clean up of the other Knights, no?).
“sigh….”
Guess what I’m really looking for is more in the development of the family itself, maybe even some mates for the ‘other brothers’ in book 7?
“Ok,ok…!”
I’m just feeling sorry for myself, because I’m missing these wonderful drakon men (- especially Tarrant!).

Well done N.J. Walters!
Can’t wait for books 8, 9, et al. 😉

Stockholm Syndrome Story

The first Dragon book was great, but this one-not so much. There is way to much bathroom and bedroom video surveillance going on. Very creepy. They also went from kidnapping to sex in just a few hours. I guess some people find Stockholm Syndrome romantic.

Drakon’s Prey

4.5 Star Review by Kristie K

Another amazing journey into a world where dragons exist, monsters walk among us, and love conquers all…

Drakon’s Prey is the second installment in the Blood of the Drakon series, and continues with the war between the drakon and the monsters that hunt them. This installment features Tarrant Cooper, a drakon and brother to Darius Varkus from book one. Tarrant is a powerful man in his own right, and when a beautiful woman shows up in the small cabin above his underground lair, he’s immediately suspicious…and intrigued. The woman is insanely gorgeous, and something about her calls to him. Valeriya Azarov was born into a legacy…one filled with the stuff of legends, monsters, and blood…a legacy she didn’t agree with, or want. From a young age, she learned to keep to herself, and avoid all things related to the Knights of the Dragon. Finding solace in her grandparents, she made her own way in the world writing and illustrating children’s books. When she stumbles across information that could cause the death of an innocent man, she does the only thing her conscience will allow…she follows the lead and prays that she makes it in time.

N.J. Walters has done it again. This second installment is every bit as good as the first, maybe even better. Tarrant is gorgeous, intelligent, intense, and VERY alpha male. He exudes a sexy confidence, and radiates a predatory sexuality that permeates every word and movement. God, I love him. Valeriya is a gentle soul, with the heart of an angel, and the strength of a warrior. Her absolute disdain for the Knights, the very institution her ancestors founded, is evident and forefront. The courage she displays by going to the cabin in an attempt to save even one life, is inspiring. A beautiful woman, gentle and sweet, risking everything to save a man she doesn’t know, and has never met. So. Amazing. This book captivated me from beginning to end. From the “5 stars of hotness” cover, to the intriguing synopsis that hooks you and drags you in. The character development was in depth, and thorough. Each character created with their own personality, soul, and heart. The plot and storyline are unique, fascinating, and fabulously executed. Topping it off, is Ms. Walter’s obvious writing talent, killer imagination, and easy flow. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
