Light and Fun!
Boone Price grew up poor and was lucky enough to hit it rich when he discovered a big oil well. He comes from humble beginnings and is uncouth and has simple tastes. One day Boone decides he is tired of people laughing at his redneck ways and decides to find a classy woman to marry. When he meets Ivy, a real estate agent, he decides she is the one.
Boone doesn't care what people think; he says whatever is in on his mind and takes what he wants. He is attracted to Ivy and insists on making her his wife. Ivy is beautiful and sexy, but what Boone doesn't know is she grew up poor just like him. For all his gruffness, Boone is sweet, honest and treats Ivy well. Boone and Ivy each have insecurities and they have worked hard to get past their humble beginnings. Ivy is afraid to let Boone see who she really is. To be honest, I had a hard time connecting to the story and the characters. This is a fun, light story and it is the first book in the Roughneck Billionaires series and each book is a standalone story.
