Dear Madam President
I’ve never written a book review. But, after reading the first chapter of this book, I realized this was a book about my generation of women in the workforce, Baby Boomers.
It doesn’t matter that I haven’t run for Office or run a business. What matters are the common struggles, perceptions, deceptions and work life balances and trade-offs women have been juggling for generations.
I was crying several pages into this book. I was crying because I recognized the truth in the authors’ words; words that describe so many of our lives. And I was crying because of the same sadness and fear we all shared that awful day in November.
This is my story, your story and so many other women’s stories. Let’s share in this story and support each other. After all, I’ve already voted for a woman president; the woman I believed would be the best first woman president, a woman I’ve admired most of my adult life.
And to the next woman that accepts this momentous journey, let me say thank you Dear Madam President. We can’t wait to meet you!
