Publisher Description
Her mind tried to fight a bloody battle against what her body already knew. She wanted him, and she wanted him bad.
On the heels of college graduation and the unexpected death of her mother, Emily Cooper moves to New York City to join her boyfriend for a fresh start. Dillon Parker has been sweet, thoughtful, and generous through Emily’s loss, and she can’t imagine her life without him—even as her inner voice tells her to go slow.
Then she meets Gavin Blake. A rich and notorious playboy, Gavin is dangerously sexy and charming as hell. Their first encounter is brief, but it’s enough to inflame Emily’s senses. When their paths cross again through an unexpected mutual acquaintance, she tries to deny the connection she feels, but Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome won’t let go so easily.
As she discovers Gavin’s pain-filled past and Dillon’s true nature begins to surface, Emily knows she must take action or risk destroying everyone—including herself. But how can she choose when she can’t trust her own heart?

The print edition of McHugh's bestselling e-book features a tantalizing love triangle that will have readers panting for more. Emily Cooper moves from Colorado to New York City to be closer to her boyfriend, Dillon Parker. But then, the charming and distractingly handsome Gavin Blake enters Emily's life. Gavin's chance meeting with Emily ignites a pulsating desire they can't deny. Gavin scorches the pages with his devastating sex appeal and Emily is hard pressed to resist, especially when Dillon's possessive and overbearing nature begins to emerge. McHugh springs a cliffhanger ending on readers, who will surely pick up the next in the series after they fly through this one.
Customer Reviews
Gavin *sigh*
As is typical with romance novels, I have a love / hate relationship with the lead characters. Gavin... oh how I love thee. Emily... oh how I want to slap thee. Dillon... well, I basically agree with every nickname that Olivia has bestowed upon him. The story itself, was good. Lots of angst, lust, and drama (which is basically the blueprint for a good romance). What I hated, was the ending (or lack thereof). Now I know the deal, you authors write a novel and leave it open at the end so that you can hook people into buying a sequel, I get it, but it's better to write one great story, than it is to write one great story, leave it open and then follow it up with a far less than mediocre sequel... it makes you look like you care more about making money than you do about releasing a good product to your readers/customers. Don't get me wrong, Collide was great... Pulse, the sequel... not so much.
How irritating.
The book was great but I was very annoyed by this love triangle. Just leave this jerk and go with Prince Charming already jeese! Lol I get way to into these books. Over all, great book! Can't say I didn't like it.
The passion
Was not expecting all that smut being that my little cousin recommended it to me. but wow what a great read. I will say this is a bit triggering for those who are DV and SA survivors. But overall so great.
