Close Liaisons (The Krinar Chronicles: Volume 1‪)‬

I read the 1st book in a day, had to buy the 2nd and read it in 1/2 a day.... LOVE it..... Can't wait for the next...

I really loved the entire book and how it unfolds. It's dark and sexy. I vertainly didn't expect some of the things that happened. She explains how and why the Krinar are on Earth so amazingly that's its insanelt convincing. Close Liaisons is not a happily-ever-after ending type of book. The sex is well paced and dierect vs flowery. It fits perfectly with the characters and the world she created. The use of science in it is a bit of a mix of the real world anf future possibilities. Krinar technology is wickedly thought out! There's even a few small mentions of Vampires in this book. Not in the way we think of them. LOL. Well sorta, but you'll have to read the book to find out about it. =) It's HOT!

With their rules and their way of life. If you are lucky you may never encounter a Krinar and you can live in peace. This isn't the case for Mia Stalis. She was minding her own business while sitting on a park bench one day when Korum took notice of her. His interest in her is what turned her world upside down. With no choice but to follow along with all Korum has to say will she make the ultimate decision to help the human race on taking back their planet or has she fallen too deep with Korum? Mia Stalis is your young, naive woan in college. She still has strong attachments to her family and friends. When she comes across a strong, domineering, sometimes callous 'K' (Krinar are called K's) she has no experience in how to save herself from the world she's about to fall under. Tehre were times I wanted to scream at Mia for some her choices, but the author did such an amazing job in describing the situation as a ''NO WAY OUT'' situation. Makes you feel bad for Mia. Makes you dislike Korum. But it's really hard when the tenderness and love starts showing through between the two. It's almost close to a BDSM book where he is the dominant and she is the submissive. he's every definition of a dominant. Hard headed, possessive, bossy, and most times callous. What Korum wants, Korum gets. I can't say I like him fully. I can say I like the character and the way he was written. We have a powerful enemy that falls in love with our leading lady and we get very confliceted with our feelings for Mia...we stand behind her, we want to smack her, we root for her, we want her to blow up too. Lol. No really I love Mia. It's just that amazing way an author can write that rises all these emotions out of you. Anna Zaires has wrote a book that transfers emotion right into the reader from page to page. The sexual scenes in here are not for the weak. There is pain, passion, submission, domination, strong loss. I think I cringed every time. It was hard to like him as a person. As a villain, well that's a whole other story! He's a fantastically written ''villain.'' I think I secretly love him. I know I love to hate him. I know I love Anna Zaires for writing this story! i really, really want the sequel already! i love to read a book with a dark, edgy side. It's not always roses and sunshine. This whole idea has originality and it's refreshing to get a new vision on an ''alien'' take over! Awe-some job on creativity and imagination! If you enjoy paranormal romance with a big touch in the Sci-fi this book is for you! i give this book my thumbs up!
