Becoming a Legend

Great book and wow what a sexy book cover! I love the Kavanagh family dynamic. It is a close knit Irish family that will support you, but will also tell you like it is! Kane is at the top of his game and ready to fight in the MMA National Championships, but something is missing. He watches his brothers with the loves of their lives and he wants that, but doesn’t have time for that, he has to focus on his career.

Nora is the best friend to Fiona. Fiona is engaged to Kieran, Kane’s twin brother. Yes, I know, sticky situation, as Kane has been trying to flirt with Nora for months and she just blows him off with her wicked banter. Nora hides her desire for Kane, but doesn’t trust him, he’s a player. Until one night, she gives up fighting her desire for Kane and it’s the best night of her life. She has never felt as cherished and sexy in her life. As true to Nora’s character, she gets the heck out of there before Kane wakes up. They agreed this was a no strings attached encounter, or was it?

Nora has a past and is keeping a big secret, even from her best friend Fiona. She is working on her doctorate in psychology and isn’t supposed to be working because she is on scholarship, however she is working herself to the bone to financially make it. She works at a Hooter’s type restaurant as well as putting in hours at the community center working with kids as mandated by her scholarship. She can never let anyone know where she works, she could lose her scholarship and she worries what would they think of her working in a place like that, but the tips were great. She had no choice she needed the money. Then Kane showed up.

The chemistry between Kane and Nora was scorching. They had an electric connection that couldn’t be denied, they both agreed to sex with no strings, they also agreed no feelings involved, like that works! There is a lot of push and pull between them and between their family and friends. There is suspense, twists and turns, and secrets that were so carefully guarded that are eventually revealed. I won’t tell you anymore because you need to read the story for yourself.

I highly recommend this great sports romance and I look forward to the next story in the Kavanagh Legends!

Sarah Robinson is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. I love this series and this cast of characters. The family dynamics, joys and sorrows is what keeps me coming back to the series and I can't wait for the next book.
Kane Kavanagh is on the verge of the MMA championship when he realizes that Nora "Kitty" Hannigan is more then she seems and he can no longer ignore his feelings. Nora is working on her degree and has no time for a real relationship. t least that's what she says but truthfully she secretly fears that no one can love her since her own mother doesn't. Kane proses a superficial relationship not knowing the pain it causes Kitty and the depths of feelings neither thought they wanted. Also how dreams and goals change with life.

I think this series keeps getting better and better. I adored Kane's story. He was the Kavanagh I knew the least about and what I did know was that he was cocky and brass. Turns out he wasn't those things at all. Definitely confident and determined, on a mission to be the best MMA fighter around. Now two months out from the fight that would seal that belief he needs to stay focused. Letting the feisty Nora Hannigan get to him in any way isn't acceptable but the chemistry between them isn't something he can easily ignore. Sometimes the heart and the brain don't communicate!!

The writing and pace of the story are fantastic and these characters will win you over from the first page. I definitely recommend this one for everyone.
