Overdesigned, hard to read, tan background, hard to read and navigate. Terrible!
Overdesigned and hard to read: the tan background decreases contrast while you're reading and the font sizes differ so greatly from most e books in my iBooks that I had to change my system wide settings just to read this one. This book is harder to navigate than other e books as well!
I bought this interactive version first. It's awful. It looks like a design student threw up onto Covey's amazing book! There's NOT EVEN A PORTRAIT MODE while reading it: It pushes out two pages at a time as if you only read in landscape mode! If you're in portrait mode it will shrink the whole thing down like a movie letterbox making it TERRIBLY hard to read. WTH?
When reading a book, I'll decide how I want read it. Thank you very much!
I want a BOOK. Black letters on a white background and the standard navigation. What's so hard to understand about that? Can't you also sell just a plain white wrapper version of this American classic, Apple? Some of us just want the same version of the book we have on the shelf for portable reading and reference and working through it one chapter at a time!
Only Kindle (which I normally avoid, preferring the Apple ecosystem) has a PLAIN black and white version of the book, the 25th edition. Is $6.99 and it takes some tricks to order it and not have it upgrade you to this "interactive" overdesigned version, but I now have it on my Pad. I prefer to have all my books in iBooks, but since Apple doesn't carry a simple version of the book, I was forced into getting it from Amazon. SMH!
Apple, fix this! Get the 25th edition so people have a choice here, not this vomitous art house mess/version !! I will be asking for my money back for this horrible book!!! AVOID THIS!!
