Amazing love story!
This book is the beginning of a new series. It is also another stunning work of art! This book wove such a beautiful tale. I loved every minute of it. The story is set up to make you think that it is lecherous and illegal, but that couldn't be further from the truth. You are brought on a journey of self-discovery and a love so deep that it makes your heart hurt.
I was so drawn in to the story to try and figure out the secrets that were kept, gradually told and the fear of what would happen if the truth came out. I was afraid that the consequences of the truth could destroy love and lives. I had a lump in my throat on more than one occasion. So much feels going on.
Bree is the strongest yet most vulnerable heroine. She is afraid to let herself get close to others because she has been abandoned so many times in her life. Battery is a powerful figure, but his heart is pure gold and the love he has for Bree is deep and true. I loved these characters. I am getting choked up writing my review because I am so sad that this book is over. I can’t wait for more!
There is a lot of intrigue and suspense in the story that kept my interest all the way through. The story flowed well and you were given just enough to satisfy your questions, but then twisted and turned so you were back to asking questions. I love that!
What an amazing story, give it a chance you won’t regret it!
