Customer Reviews
Use in conjunction with other materials
I used this while I was taking a classroom course in Arabic to review additional vocabulary. It was very beneficial in this sense. This product does not teach grammar or extended conversation, however, and the self-learner may get frustrated because all he is learning is vocabulary. This is definitely a supplementary course. I would get levels 2&3 if offered by iTunes.
PS My professor says the accent on CDs is Eastern/Gulf. If you want Egyptian or Morrocan Arabic find a product that clearly states the accent.
don't buy unless you want just vocab
if you are seeking to expand or sharpen your all ready present arabic vocabulary, then this may be for you, but assuredly do not purchase this if you are intending to actually learn arabic from the start. Just a side note, one thing that bugged me was the classical european music between sections. That just doesn't seem to fit for an arabic vocabulary lesson, but thats generally irrelevant and just bugged me.
Arabic Audio Book
This is a good book, but it needs regular flash cards to practice with in addition to the audio.
