Publisher Description
They love nothing better than sipping free-trade gourmet coffee, leafing through the Sunday
New York Times, and listening to David Sedaris on NPR (ideally all at the same time). Apple products, indie music, food co-ops, and vintage T-shirts make them weak in the knees. They believe they're unique, yet somehow they're all exactly the same, talking about how they "get" Sarah Silverman's "subversive" comedy and Wes Anderson's "droll" films.
They're also down with diversity and up on all the best microbrews, breakfast spots, foreign cinema, and authentic sushi. They're organic, ironic, and do not own TVs.
You know who they are: They're white people. And they're here, and you're gonna have to deal. Fortunately, here's a book that investigates, explains, and offers advice for finding social success with the Caucasian persuasion. So kick back on your IKEA couch and lose yourself in the ultimate guide to the unbearable whiteness of being.

No surprise to see the pretentious politically correct police out in droves
Some of you people really need to relax. Take a chill pill (or a cyanide pill I don't care) and realize this isn't racism. Is Chris Rock or Dave Chapelle a racist for talking about African Americans? No. There are only two reasons for people not to find this book funny:
1.) It doesn't apply to you at all
2.) It applies to you too much, and you get offended.
Get a hold of your lives and learn to laugh a little bit.
Really?
I can't believe that some people think that this book is racist, it started as a blog when the author was talking to his friend about what white people who don't want 'The Wire" were busy doing, and came up with things like "Getting a divorce." I guess a lot of people can't take a joke, He even said, "It’s partially about race, but it’s fundamentally about class. It’s about a generation and class that values authenticity and credibility more than monetary wealth."
Even if people think it's racist, how? I'm white and I think this is a funny book

This book is actually very funny and entertaining.
