I have listened to a lot of Melissa Foster and it is so much fun listening to the first book in her Love In Bloom series! Where it all started! Meeting the Snow sisters, and hearing Danica's story was a pleasure! She is a relatively even keeled, ordinary woman, at least she keeps herself under the wire. Until she literally bumps into Blake's elbow. Blake is a player, never having a problem finding a woman. When tragedy strikes, he realizes he needs to change his ways, and when he goes to seen help, Danica is his therapist. And our fun begins. Their journey to finding love is not an easy one. And with such a cast of characters, we have a blast as they all make an imprint on their lives. It's realistic as Foster always includes relevant issues. She masterfully educates us with entertainment, but never diminishes the importance of her stories. I loved the inclusion of the Big Sister program and can see how this launched the Love in Bloom series. It's so easy to fall in love!
BJ Harrison is a fabulous storyteller and a better narrator could not have been picked to tell this story. He has a calming voice and is easy on the ears. I enjoy his performances and look forward to more.
Sexy & Sweet
Sisters In Love was my first Melissa Foster book several years ago. I totally enjoyed it then and now I was given the opportunity to listen to the audiobook. I loved it just as much if not more. The narration was done by BJ Harrison. I really liked his swoon-worthy voice and ability to narrate multiple characters. BJ Harrison just makes the characters come alive. Dannika Snow and Blake Carter were fun to get to know again. I am completely in love with Melissa Foster and her Love In Bloom series. It just keeps growing and the intertwining of characters with other intertwined series is wonderful. Whether you read the story or listen to the audio, it is just as smooth as silk. You will love Dannika and Blake’s story. The narration brings more passion and plays like a movie in my mind. Or even more alive I think because I can hear and “feel” the emotions the author was trying to portray due to the talented voice of BJ Harrison. I received this audiobook free for an honest review. The author is amazing. This story covers all the feel good bases. Danika is a psychologist and a big sister, also working with her real sister's issues. Blake is a gorgeous man with "player" issues whose best friend/partner dies. One of the things I liked best was how Danika works as a psychologist and how she handles her patients, family and friends with her professional suggestions/recommendations. This is a very sweet love story. A decent amount of sex to keep the reader/listener interested and not be raunchy. The narrator did a great job with the characters. His distinct male/female voices were done tastefully.
