Publisher Description

My brother is an idiot. He won the lottery and invested all of his money in a run-down bowling alley. Since he's barely making it, he moved in with me.

Great.

Having him around the house isn't the worst thing in the world, but he does make a mess like nobody's business. My friends Zeke, Jessie, and Kayden keep me sane but there's only so much they can do.

And it's definitely not the worst thing in the world when his old friend, Ryker, moves to town.

The second I lay eyes on him, I'm hot under the collar. He makes my body burn in longing and freeze in desperation at the exact same time. When he talks, I don't listen to anything he says because I'm staring at that hard jaw and those kissable lips like I already own them.

But he's a bed hopper. A playboy. A heartbreaker.

I'm all down for some hot, sweaty, yummy sex even if it doesn't have a fairytale ending. I've been down that road before. I know the drill. But with Ryker, it's different.

Because I know I'll fall in love with him.

For now, I'll steer clear of him and keep my hands to myself. It can't be that hard, right?

Or can it?

Funny, Charming, and HOTT!!!

WOW!!!

This book has a little of everything I like to enjoy in a book. Sexy, funny, and a little drama all wrapped up in one amazing way to start a fun new series.

I was a little thrown off by this book at first since the POVs in this book are not a couple sharing different sides of their relationship, but a sister and brother sharing their views on life with each other and those around them. I quickly got into the lay out of the book and fell in love. I found that it helped to keep things alive and moving throughout the book. I honestly couldn't put the book down because I was dying to know what was going on in each of what seemed like mini series in the book. Amazing!!! Loved writing structure for sure.

Rae is an amazing strong confident woman who know what she wants and knows how to have a good time, but keep a straight level head at the same time. She is a relatable character in regards to the way she handles her relationship with those closes to her in the book. I have a very similar out look on friendships and family. Not to mention the way her and her brother Rex interact in the book is much like my sibling relationship. I am very interested to see how her love life, which is at the center of the plot, plays out in the rest of the series. With Ryker the sexy player Alpha on one hand and the adorable and lovable Zeke on the other.

Then you have the Rex POV that gives a great and equal balance to the female mind frame of the story that you get from Rae. Not to mention he comes with his own issues and interesting twist, that I can see him have a book that focuses on him in the future. Very interested to see how things play out for his character in the future.

Strong and fun way to set up the dynamic relationship all the characters play in each others lives.

Can't wait for the next book!!!!

First EL Todd Read

I enjoyed it a lot as an avid romance novel reader, the excerpt drew me in right away. I like how the female protagonist was different from the usual ones I've read in the past from other books. How she is confident in herself and not clingy. I also liked how the characters had strong friendships and relationships with each other which, made the story more realistic. I respected that the female lead asserted herself in keeping her relationships with her family and friends a priority even when she entered her relationship. Ryder was definitely an intringuing male lead who had soft and sweet moments too. He was a good baance of what people look for in a book boyfriend. But I did feel like the relationship between Ryder and Rae could have used a bit more development. It seemed kinda odd how Ryder would go from being stand offish to never wanting to leave Rae's side. However, I did enjoy the back and forth and the chemistry between the two main characters. The othe rthing is I felt like sometimes the dialogue between Rae and her brother was a bit juvenile, and didn't sound like how people their age would speak but it didnt detract from the story too much. Also I did feel like the character Kayden's crush was a bit obvious and I felt like most of the characters were so dense not to pick up on that but I'm glad Ryker at least did. I am definitely intrigued how Rae and Ryker's relationship will develop throughout the series.
