Poor sound quality
This sounds as though it was recorded on a built-in microphone on a laptop. Very poor audio quality, which makes understanding the consenants very hard while driving. I cannot comment on the content because I simply could not hear it adequately. Overall, I'm bummed that I spent $10 on this, but at least it wasn't more.
What did they say???
Although the audio introduction was audible, the lessons sound as if the person giving the lesson is in a tin can at the bottom of the ocean. It would be nice if I-Tunes had some type of quality control with these audiobooks.
Effective Lessons
I learned german as a kid, but forgot most of it over the years. I commute for almost two hours a day and find this course very effective while I drive. My vocabulary and pronuciation and improved measureably by listening over several months. I listen for a few days and then switch to something else for a few day and so on. I also use some written material at home to enhance my learning experience. However, as the title sugests, this program works well for commuters. I have just purchased level 2 and plan to continue through level 3.
