I loved it
For a story that starts out so horrific, I was surprised by how much I loved it. Talia is the epitome of strength. For her to have lived through the ordeal she has and to walk away semi-whole that itself is a feat. Is she broken? Yes, but who wouldn’t be. With the strength and stubbornness of Alexei, she is forced to not give up and to find the will to go on.
I LOVED these two together, I loved that they were both broken. That the made each other whole. That they didn’t realize it until they need that other person the most. It was beautiful, raw, and so utterly emotional. It brought tears to my eyes.
I am of course giving Ghost: Boston Underworld, Book 3, 5 Boundless Stars. I Love Zaverellie, and Marks is so great with the accents. I can’t imagine enjoying these books any other way but audiobook.
Emotional story dealing with PTSD
The beginning of the book is very hard to read. We follow Talia’s abuse and self harm thoughts as she is a victim of human trafficking 🥺. There is no sugar coating here.
Alexei steps in and rescues Talia. Although he had his own agenda we follow the story as two broken people find each other and find love ❤️. Add in some smexy scenes and it’s a great story. The ending and epilogue was just what you need for an HEA. Of course having other characters appear is always the best! Love to finally have the reunion of Mack and Talia.
Narration of Tracy Marks was just perfect. While I prefer duet narration she did an amazing job with both voices and accents.
Loved it!!
I couldn't put it down until I finished the book. Great story but very emotional, made me cry a lot! But it's a HEA!
