Publisher Description

Lucas Thorn wasn't born a cheater. All it took was a single moment - say, a certain disastrous incident on the night before his wedding - and boom. Reputation destroyed forever and always. So now he owns it. He has a lady friend for every night of the week (except Sundays - God's day and all), and his rules are simple: No commitments. No exceptions.

But a certain smart-mouthed, strawberry blonde vixen is about to blow that all to hell.

Avery Black has never forgiven Lucas for cheating on her sister. And suddenly being forced to work with him is pretty much a nightmare on steroids. Of course, it does afford her the opportunity to make his life as difficult as possible. But no good revenge scheme comes without payback. Because he didn't become the Lucas Thorn without learning a few things about women.

Now Avery's lust for vengeance has turned into, well, lust. And if Lucas stops cheating, it's definitely not because he's falling in love...

Boundless Book Reviews ,

Full of witty banter and highly enjoyable

Lucas Thorn is a cheater, C H E A T E R. But is he really? maybe it was a misunderstanding on everyone's part.

Avery Black is the little sister of his Ex-Fianceè. Who just so happens to end up being an intern at his job. That’s when everything starts to get all crazy. This book is hilarious like caught out loud hilarious. The banter and the witty comments make these characters great.

I actually feel bad for Lucas. Because when you really understand what was going through his mind 4 years ago. It’s not what it looked like. If only everyone in their family believed the same thing.

Van Dyken is an amazing writer, she holds the pen to writing Romantic Comedies like no one's business. I highly enjoyed this and I really loved the whole story. The narrators were great, even though when the male narrator would use a women voice (lol)

Overall, I give this Four Boundless Stars

Not what you think

If you haven't been scared off by the title of this book and you're a fan of Rachel Van Dyken's comedic talent, then I think it's safe to say you'll likely enjoy this book. The only reason I even gave a title like this a chance was because of who the author is. I absolutely love romantic comedies and I know the title and blurb can be misleading. I hate cheating. I don't want to read it in my books but even I can admit that I can get past some blurred lines depending on situations.

If you want to know if there is cheating, it's not a cut and dry answer. The famous cheating line "It's not what you think" can be said here. Things are implied that didn't happen but Lucas still goes on a path that many will not like or enjoy reading. I didn't enjoy some of it and had moments were I felt he was acting like a douche and his excuses were weak. However, I never felt he actually cheated. Lucas and Avery are not a couple through most of this book but the feelings are there. This will be enough to bother some readers and it's best if you skip this book.

Rachel's talent to write fun, whitty banter is present in this story. Despite the moments I wanted to slap Lucas, I really enjoyed these two together and it didn't detract from my love of watching these two spark. Besides, Avery slapped him for me on several occasions. :) ARC provided by NetGalley.
